NIGERCON 2010 Conference Objectives

 

Technology has grown to a wide dimension. Today, virtually everything is driven by the advancement in technology. However, this seems to apply mainly to developed nations while developing countries still struggle with antiquated machineries. Two primary sectors that supplicate rapid development are Power and ICT both of which are interdependent. The role of Power and ICT in a developing society cannot be exaggerated.

The Nigeria Section of IEEE is organizing her maiden Conference at Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. The primary objective of the Conference is to provide a forum for discussion of new ideas, best practices, research & development results, etc to stimulate growth and advance the state of knowledge and practice in the field of Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology in a developing society.

The NIGERCON 2010 Conference provides a global environment for the exchange of innovative and sustainable technologies related to the Power and ICT industry. This is the debut IEEE national conference for the exchange of experience in the practical application of electronics, power and instrumentation in communication and information technology as well as in the power sector.
